RUSMP's premier program is an intensive four week staff development program for PreK-12 teachers.
Mathematics Leadership Institute
Part of the National Science Foundation's Math and Science Partnership Network, Rice University's Mathematics Leadership Institute (MLI) is an intensive four week program that runs concurrently with RUSMP's Summer Campus Program. Its mission is to develop teacher leaders at 40 high schools in the Houston Independent School District and the Aldine Independent School District.
Academic Year Courses
RUSMP offers professional development and Gifted and Talented credit courses during the fall and spring semesters.
Networking Conferences
RUSMP hosts annual Fall and Spring Networking Conferences at which distinguished educators speak and RUSMP alumni, Master Teachers, and Support Teachers make presentations to share new resources and teaching ideas. A luncheon for all present provides a networking mechanism for Houston area mathematics educators.
Urban Programs
RUSMP has developed highly successful year-round school-based programs for teachers and their students. These programs are developed collaboratively with schools and school districts based on local need.
